1月21日的北京天寒地冻，但这丝毫不影响支持芬兰著名摇滚乐队Nigthwish歌迷的热情。Nigthwish北京演唱会定于当晚八点开始，很多歌迷提前一小时就在海淀展览馆门口排起了长队，几百人的队伍看起来很是壮观。
晚上8点随着四声有力的镲片声演出准时开始，作为Nigthwish乐队北京之行的开场嘉宾的云雀乐队登场，这支被称作“古典速度力量金属”的意大利摇滚乐队随着身着一身低胸丝袜的性感女主唱的登场引发了全场的热烈回应。可惜这位性感的女主唱显然缺乏现场演出的经验，生硬的肢体动作以及逊色的声音让这支本应该火力四射的乐队黯淡不少。
云雀乐队演出结束后，在经过了四十分钟的漫长调音等待后，Nigthwish乐队登场。开场灯光营造出了神秘的北欧歌特意境，一曲Nigthwish新唱片中的主打歌曲《Bye Bye Beautiful》彻底将人们对于新主唱Anette的怀疑一扫而光，贝司手Marco 在复歌部分的演唱更是将演出推向了新一轮的高潮。《Bye Bye Beautiful》作为开场曲目标志着Nigthwish乐队已经告别了Tarja时代，虽然外界对于Anette还是持有怀疑态度，但是演出的效果证明了Anette作为乐队主唱引领的Nigthwish新时代。全新阵容的Nigthwish乐队更加注重优美的旋律，虽然Anette相比较前任主唱Anette而言缺少演唱方面的力量，但是Nigthwish新歌中大小调和声的自由转换预示着Nigthwish已经告别了陈旧的Metal时代而走向了全新的旋律金属阶段。
值得一提的是鼓手Julius的演奏更像是鼓上的舞蹈，Julius不仅仅在节奏和率动上把握地恰到好处，在演奏时的肢体语言表现上更是引人注意。Julius在演奏慢节奏歌曲时弱拍的手势给人歌迷留下了深刻的印象，他已经完全与鼓合为一体。长达一小时的演出在歌迷的尖叫声中落下帷幕，尽管时间短暂，但还是让在场的每一个人感受到了来自芬兰金属音乐的魅力。
Nigthwish乐队北京之行划上了圆满的句号，尽管还有很多人对于Nigthwish乐队新主唱Anette持怀疑态度，但近乎完美的演出证明了Nigthwish在进步，他们正一步步地朝世界顶尖主流乐队摇滚乐队进军。
